A Year in Embroidery

This tracker fabric includes a small square for every day of the year for you to fill in as you please. During 2023 I used it to track the daily maximum and minimum temperatures in my home town of Liverpool and during 2024 I stitched the number of steps walked each day and the days that I have been swimming, both absolutely fascinating! But not only that, having a small project that I can pick up and put down as I wish, and watching it grow for a full year, has been a brilliant, mindful and relaxing experience. There are so many different things that you could track: weather patterns, moods, habits, activities, health or medical observations (I rather like the idea of a menopause symptoms tracker!)

The fabric has been designed to fit in a 12″ embroidery hoop (those little squares add up to a big circle!) and the fabric itself is a lovely lightweight organic cotton calico. The calico has been bleached with organic dyes to give a lovely soft white finish, perfect to make those thread colours stand out!

Other add ons include a hoop butt label for you to stitch onto the back of your hoop to record the year, hoop theme and your name. You can also choose to purchase the tote bag separately, it’s perfect for storing your hoop in all year. Also available are fabric grips (very useful!) and a thread pack which includes all 17 skeins of DMC embroidery thread.

There are three options available:

• Option 1 – Fabric only – Simply the tracker fabric, a stitching guide and new for 2025, a hoop butt label!
• Option 2 – Basic kit – The tracker fabric, a piece of white cotton (to double up the fabric), a 12″ Elbesee embroidery hoop and 2 project cards (to store your threads), and a hoop butt label.
• Option 3 – Full kit – The basic kit plus: 17 full skeins of DMC stranded cotton, three needles, white felt to finish off the back, fabric grips and a tote bag to use as a project bag to keep it safe and clean all year.

Processing times and shipping

The processing time for ALL orders is 3 working days. This is regardless of whether you upgrade to the Tracked 48 option or not. If you need your order more urgently, please email me before placing your order to see if I can help!

Please note that whilst I’m more than happy to ship internationally, parcels may be subject to customs duties and you are responsible for the payment of these, they are not the responsibility of Little Light Stitchery. I am shipping to the USA and the import duties will be added on to your order at checkout. I’m afraid that due to the introduction of GPSR regulations in the EU, I am currently unable to ship to the EU or Northern Ireland. I send all international parcels using the Royal Mail International Tracked service. This price of this varies slightly between different regions and I will offer you a refund if the postage and packing costs ends up costing less that my website calculates. It’s very complex!
