Liverpool Skyline

Description

The fabric has been created in collaboration with local Liverpool artist Eleanor Walker. Eleanor has created this joyful Liverpool Skyline outline including many of our iconic buildings, just waiting for you to stitch however you like!

The design is sized 30cm x 12cm, and it fits inside these 8″ x 12″ oval hoops. It could also be finished off in a rectangular frame. Please note that if you do plan on finishing it off in the oval hoop, you will lose one of the Liver birds (see photos).

This is a lightweight bleached organic calico fabric. It is GOTS certified and OEKO-TEX 100 certified fabric, bleached using organic dyes and printed with OEKO-TEX Eco Passport certified and GOTS ECOCERT certified inks (phew, what a mouthful!).

The fabric pack will contain the design fabric and a postcard with tips and ideas. Please note that no hoop or threads are included. You can add on an oval hoop by selecting that option from the drop down menu. The hoop is 8″ x 12″ and made from bamboo with a square edge. Whilst the quality of the hoop is fine, it isn’t of the best quality but it is the only hoop that I can find of this size unfortunately. I have painted them or covered them in fabric in the past to make them look nicer!

With some of my other fabrics I have included a second piece of white cotton so that you can double up the fabric in your hoop. This won’t be the case with this fabric as I don’t think it is strictly necessary as your designs will be self contained and you won’t be jumping between design elements as you might with my lined paper fabric for example. If you have some white cotton at home (even an old pillow case) you could always add it if you prefer.
